What we do
Aircraft Fuelling Services Ltd (AFS) is an independent company supplying aviation fuel, fuelling equipment and fuelling services to airports and fixed- and rotary-wing aircraft operators across the UK.
Our customers benefit from attractive pricing, quality products and services and a 'can do' approach combining maximum service with minimum bureaucracy.
How we started
AFS was formed in 2005 by James Ford, who had over fifteen years' experience in civil and military aviation and refuelling operations and a broad base of contacts in the industry.
The company focused initially on supplying fuel to small and independent rotary- and fixed-wing aircraft operators. Many of these required small quantities and were based at locations inaccessible to large tankers. AFS met these needs by setting up 'milk runs' using a medium-sized rigid tanker.
As time went by AFS was increasingly asked to supply fuel storage tanks and bowsers to existing and new customers and also to deliver fuel to larger operators and regional airports.
How we’ve grown
AFS has succeeded in increasing its customer base, turnover and profitability every year since its formation. It has supplied fuel, equipment and services to over fifty airport and aircraft operators across the UK.
